Girl Scouts of Eastern Oklahoma’s (GSEOK) Cookie
Program is extending its mobile reach by offering the ability to buy Girl Scout
Cookies 24 hours a day.
Customers can give the gift of Girl Scout Cookies to US servicemen and servicewomen straight from their homes with Virtual Gift of Caring. Local troops can receive credit for the sale of cookies through this program. The credit earned by the troops can be used to fund community service projects, travel opportunities, Girl Scout Store merchandise, or any number of other activities selected by the girls. Virtual Gift of Caring is the only way Girl Scout Cookies can be purchased online.
“The Virtual Gift of Caring Program allows our community to support the brave men and women of our armed forces AND Girl Scouts from the convenience of their homes,” says Kathy Brandon. “The cookies are sent directly to soldiers at home and abroad.”
To send cookies to servicemen and servicewomen, simply visit www.gseok.org and click on the Virtual Gift of Caring program ad. If you wish to credit your purchase to a local troop, simply enter the troop number in the comments box, or you may leave the box blank.
For those customers interested in buying cookies in
person, Girl Scouts offers the Cookie Locator Mobile App, where users access
their smart phones to find the nearest cookie booth with a list of dates and
times when those booths will be open.
The Cookie Locator Mobile App can be downloaded for free by simply calling **GSCookies (**472665437) from your mobile phone to receive a link via text to mobile app options or by searching for “Cookie Locator” in the iPhone App Store or Android Market Place. For any web-enabled smart phone, simply go to m.cookielocator.littlebrownie.com. The application uses GPS or manually entered zip codes, cities or states to map cookie booth locations. Customers without smart phones can still use the Cookie Locator online at www.gseok.org
