For more than 40 years, the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) continues to be one of the most popular industry shows in the world. With more than 3,100 exhibitors and 150,000+ attendees, it sets the stage for "what's next" in the consumer electronics world.
As part of the CES "what's next" experience, broadband communications and entertainment company Cox Communications will unveil their innovations in consumer video. To share the news, Cox partnered with social correspondent and Tracky Chief Evangelist Sarah Evans (@PRsarahevans) as their first-ever #CES social correspondent and ambassador.
Next to face-to-face, video is the most engaging way to interact – live conversations and the way they are shared online are evolving. Throughout #CES2013, Cox Communications and Evans will capture and share how these latest trends advancements are revolutionizing the way we all watch TV.
To fulfill this role, Evans will:
- Document the #CES2013 show experience, highlighting the best, new and most innovative products via online videos to be shared via Cox Communications social assets, live tweeting and blogging segments and a #CES2013 Pinterest Board;
- Serve as a host for several media events showcasing new Cox Communications products, like their new Trio Guide, individualized recommendations for video on the television;
- Represent Cox Communications during their CES satellite media tour (SMT) on consumer social television trends. For additional information regarding this, contact Alison Welz at 201.360.6679; and
- Host a live Cox Communications Twitter chat (#CoxVideo) on Tuesday, January 8, from 3:00PM to 3:30PM PST discussing #CES2013 trends in social television and consumer electronics.
