PLATTEVILLE, Wis., 7.16.13 – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville and its Distance Learning Center (UW-Platteville Online) have named a new coordinator for its online master's degree in organizational change leadership that develops expertise in critical thinking, organizational innovation, decision-making, and creative problem-solving.
Caryn Stanley has been a faculty member at UW-Platteville for five years, teaching human resource management and related courses on campus and online. Prior to that time, she spent two years with Fusion Staffing, based out of Walnut Grove, Calif, as an executive-level corporate recruiter. She also spent nine years with a Fortune 500 retail organization where she held several management positions and was responsible for recruiting, training and developing associates for a five-state region: Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and Missouri. She is certified as a professional in human resources and is an active member of the Society for Human Resource Management.
Stanley, originally from Chicago, earned a bachelor's degree in psychology and biology from Millikin University, Decatur, Ill., a master's degree in organizational management and behavior and is currently pursuing a doctorate in human resource management with an international emphasis Her areas of research interest include the use of social media in the recruiting process and as a classroom facilitation and learning tool.
