Aspen, Colorado (January 4, 2013) - Expanding its simple and elegant magnetic system that optimizes the user experience of mobile devices, iOmounts LLC introduces the iOdock™, a wireless conductive charging stand and dock. When connected to a computer via USB cable, the iOdock transfers both power and data wirelessly to the user's device through a specially designed case. iOmounts™ will debut the iOdock and a full line of other new products at the 2013 International Consumer Electronics Show.
In contrast to inductive charging products, which are extremely inefficient and require the use of a bulky case, the new conductive iOdock transfers power and data as efficiently and quickly as when plugged in to a standard wall outlet or computer. The iOdock charging case is much slimmer than other inductive charging cases, and it integrates smoothly with the rest of the iOmounts system. The iOdock also retains all of the features that users love about iOmounts: free and unobstructed rotation of their device in any direction, creating the perfect viewing angle. It will be first available for the iPhone 4S, and iPad, but the company plans to release conductive charging cases for iPhone 5, iPad mini, and other devices in mid-2013.
“Our original magnetic system laid the foundation for this breakthrough in conductive charging,” says Tamas Kovacs, founder of iOmounts. “Now for the first time, users can have it all. By simply placing their device on a stand (using the iOmounts case), users will be able to charge it efficiently, transfer data instantly to their computer, adjust the device to the perfect view angle, and then get up and go without worrying about any wires.”
iOmounts, which launched its first line of magnetic mounts last January, will also debut a number of other extensions to their magnetic system at the 2013 CES, including:
- Several stands with flexible arms to provide even more versatility
- Multiple point-of-sale and display stands, which provide device tethering and security options
- A lighter, foldable travel stand
- Various different types of car mounts
- A desk mount designed for use in the office or school desks
- Integrated cases for the iPad, iPad Mini, and iPhone 5
- A bike handlebar mount
“With these new products, the iOmounts system becomes just that: an integrated system that will work flawlessly and universally with your device wherever you are, at your desk, in the car, on an airplane, in the living room, and everywhere in between” says Kovacs.
Attendees can find the iOdock and the full line of new iOmounts products at Booth #35349, LVCC South Hall 4, during the 2013 International CES, which runs January 8-11, 2013, in Las Vegas, Nevada. The company's first generation iOstand™, which was named an International CES Innovations 2013 Design and Engineering Awards Honoree will also be on display in the Innovations Design and Engineering Showcase in The Venetian Ballroom, Booth #70425.
