MERIDIAN, Idaho -- March 15, 2013 -- The Village at Meridian – CenterCal Properties, LLC announced today that Yard House Restaurants has signed a lease to open an 11,000 square-foot restaurant in the future Lifestyle portion of The Village at Meridian. Yard House is an upscale, casual eatery known for great food, classic rock music, and features 100-250 craft ales and lagers on draft.  This is the company’s first Idaho location and it is expected to generate approximately 200 jobs when it opens next fall.

“We are extremely excited to introduce Yard House to the residents of Meridian and Greater Boise,” said Harald Herrmann, brand president of Yard House Restaurants. “With the recent announcement of new merchants and restaurants, we feel The Village at Meridian will create synergy and it will be a nice complement to our brand. We are very excited to begin construction and to be part of the Treasure Valley community.”

The first Yard House opened on December 7, 1996 along the Long Beach waterfront just south of Los Angeles. Today there are 43 units from coast-to-coast with plans to continue expanding the concept to new and existing markets.

Along with the Yard House announcement, in the first quarter of 2013, The Village at Meridian signed leases with Chipotle, Kona Grill and Sushi Bar, Settebello Pizzeria Napoletana, Twigs Bistro and Martini Bar, and Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar and Grill which will be a live music venue hosting live music 5 nights a week. The Village at Meridian is a two-phased project with the first phase being the power center portion which celebrated grand openings for national eatery Noodles & Co., and local businesses Meridian Smiles Dentistry, and My Kid’s Dentist & Orthodontics. Retailers like Big Al’s, Gordmans, and Marshalls have been open since late summer/early fall, and national retailers such as Petco, Gap Factory Store, Nike Factory Store, and Chick-Fil-A have had record-breaking success during their first few months on the new property.  

The second phase is the town center portion which will add approximately 600,000 square feet of upscale restaurants, cinema and retail shops and 150,000 square feet of Class A office space.   A Grand Opening for this phase of the project is planned for October, 2013. The Village at Meridian is located at the intersection of Eagle Road and Fairview, in Meridian Idaho, near Eagle.
