BOSTON, August 2013 — The 2013 Travel + Leisure “World’s Best Awards” recently named the Lenox Hotel in Boston’s Back Bay as one of the Top 50 Large City Hotels in the Continental U.S. Debuting on this prestigious list in a highly competitive and coveted category, the Lenox is honored to be among such a distinct and notable group of hotels across the country.
“All of our associates at the Lenox are incredibly excited by this latest recognition,” says Daniel Donahue, Vice President and Managing Director at the Lenox Hotel. “To be named by the readers of Travel + Leisure as one of the top hotels in the U.S. affirms our team’s ongoing efforts to make every guest's experience at the Lenox one that exceeds all expectations. As a newcomer to this list, we’re committed to remaining on it for many years to come.”
Adds Jeffrey Saunders, President of Saunders Hotel Group, which owns and operates the Lenox, "We’re grateful to the readers of Travel + Leisure who voted us among the top hotels in the USA. Wining an award like this is a testament to the incredible team that we have in place, a team that we’re very proud of and a team whose singular passion is to ‘wow’ guest after guest each and every day.”
Saunders further explains: “As an independent hotel, we don’t have the large brand support of some of the other hotels on the list. Our brand support is created on our own, by our dedicated and talented associates who work diligently to make our guests’ stay one of the best ever. Delivering on this promise is what puts us in the same league as the finest hotels in the U.S. We are honored to be in such great company.”
The World’s Best Awards, published annually by Travel + Leisure, are determined by the votes of discerning readers, and create a snapshot of the best travel experiences around the globe. For Travel + Leisure’s 18th annual poll, the editorial team asked their readers to cast their votes for the hotels, destinations, and companies that define the very best in travel. The result this year? According to the magazine, one of their most robust lists to date, with new categories including top hotel brands and airports.
Results of the survey are currently available online, and are also featured in the August 2013 issue of the magazine (digital and print editions). To view the Top 50 Large City Hotels in the Continental U.S., visit www.travelandleisure.com.
