VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, April 24, 2014 – Tagga Media is pleased to announce the appointment of Nicole Steele as their new Director of Marketing. In her new role, Steele will spearhead brand awareness, product marketing and demand generation as Tagga continues to build upon its success in cross-channel marketing.
Steele comes to Tagga with over a decade of marketing experience and a wide breath and depth of knowledge in the technology industry. Prior to moving to Tagga, Steele was the Director of Marketing at QuickMobile where she led the creation and management of the communication plans including, media and analyst relations, content and social media marketing, product launches and SEO activities. Steele’s experience also includes working as Senior Manager OEM Partner Marketing for SAP and Marketing Manager for Sage Software.
“We are thrilled to have Nicole as part of our team. Her passion and enthusiasm for technology combined with her marketing expertise makes her a perfect fit for our organization,” says Jean-Guy Faubert, CEO of Tagga Media. “Her experience with both B2C and B2B marketing gives her a unique ability to approach our programs from multiple perspectives as we continue to build and grow Tagga.”
In the past, Steele found herself frustrated that marketing was considered a cost centre rather than a revenue generator. With new technology however, the shift has moved so that marketers can now track marketing activities ranging from online and mobile engagement, email metrics and social media sentiment through to sales.
“Marketing is becoming a driving force within the organization,” notes Nicole Steele, Director of Marketing for Tagga. “Executives are now more fluent in the central role of marketing to lead strategy as the importance of customer experience has evolved. It’s great to be part of this shift and help other marketing professionals through this transition.”
Working with Tagga, Steele is eager to start working with marketers to offer a complete campaign management solution that uses mobile and social technologies for enhanced measurement and optimization of their campaigns. This gives marketers the ability to start quantifying their marketing spend to position them as value drivers within organizations.
