CHICAGO, September 16, 2013—VivaKi today announced new roles for two of the agency’s executive committee members—Kurt Unkel to Global President of Audience On Demand® (AOD) and Domenic Venuto to Global President of Data and Technology. The shift in roles and responsibilities comes in an effort to more closely align each with the agency’s strategic direction and growth.
“Domenic and Kurt’s new positions reflect VivaKi’s commitment to performance, programmatic excellence and industry leading data and technology,” said VivaKi CEO Frank Voris in a memo to employees. “In their new roles, they will only punctuate our mission to compete and win in an industry that sees new competitors every day.”
A co-founder of AOD, Unkel’s promotion to Global President of AOD comes following the opening of VivaKi’s second Activation Center in Singapore. Together with its Amsterdam Activation Center, AOD now boasts a global footprint of 24 countries.
In his new role, Unkel will set the AOD strategic vision, ensure flawless execution, and drive adoption and innovation within addressability as VivaKi aggressively expands and scales the AOD offering globally.
“Kurt has been an important part of AOD’s success from Day One, and he is responsible for the quality, security, service and performance that have become a hallmark of the offering,” said Voris. “Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a strong ability to collaborate and partner with our sister agencies and external partners, and by sharpening his focus on AOD, we are certain we will be able to ensure product improvement and greater adoption. “
Before joining VivaKi, Unkel created and led digital strategy, investment, analytics and ad operations teams for 10 years within Publicis Groupe, with a special focus on General Motors (GM). While working on GM, Unkel helped lead the growth in digital spending from less than $20M to over $500M annually by developing strategies, metrics and infrastructure that supported a data-driven media buying approach.
Domenic Venuto’s promotion to Global President of Data and Technology comes on the heels of the successful launch and expansion of SkySkraper, VivaKi’s global big-data solution for Publicis Groupe agencies.
Developed with input from its sister agencies, SkySkraper was built to cost-effectively solve pressing needs such as how to access, collect, verify, clean and leverage data in ways that allow the agencies to focus on insight, strategy and application.

Prior to VivaKi, Domenic was Managing Director of Razorfish's New York office. At Razorfish he worked extensively with publishing and broadcasting editorial, technology and business groups, helping organizations define, develop and implement digital strategies. Among other accomplishments, his worked shaped the online products of Dow Jones, Wall Street Journal and a significant portion of Condé Nast's portfolio.
