We are excited to announce the second edition of the bestselling guidebook, The Law School Admission Game: Play Like an Expert. Ann Levine brings 10+ years as a law school admission director and law school admission consultant directly to law school applicants, helping them make good decisions as they apply to law school. Ann shares her experience and wisdom in the form of concrete tips, advice and examples on how to apply to law school. The rewritten, expanded and updated second edition is being released on Amazon.com on June 11, 2013.
Since the first edition of the book, the law school application process has shifted. There have been some technical changes in how to apply to law school. Applications are now submitted through a common application form through LSAC, using the Credential Assembly Service for letters of recommendation, transcripts, and scores. Law school applicants have become more savvy as well. They no longer just need the basics of how to apply: they need to know how to make strategic decisions about the content of their applications by understanding how law schools will view them, and how they can tilt the balance in their favor.
In the new book, the chapters on personal statements, LSAT preparation, explaining weaknesses, and optional essays are expanded. It also includes more examples of resumes, addenda, and personal statement introductions and approaches. Ann includes specific tips for non-traditional applicants, international students, and students with learning disabilities. Even after the application process, she guides applicants on getting accepted from a waiting list, negotiating law school scholarships, and transferring to a new law school after their 1L year.
As an admission consultant, author and blogger (LawSchoolExpert.com/blog), Ann brings experience from both inside the world of law school admissions and from the clients who she has helped to reach their goals, and shares insights and strategies for success in the competitive law school application process. This book divulges everything an applicant needs to know to get into law school and reading it before applying will save time, money, and frustration.
